How can you support personal development and build healthy habits into school life?

The Get Stuck In resources offer a range of fun, short, cross-curricular activities to enthuse pupils about healthy eating, exercise and other healthy habits, while developing higher-order thinking skills. Welsh versions of each of the resources are also newly available to download.

Activity ideas

Use the Get Stuck In resources to build pupils' healthy habits and provide opportunities to develop discussion and higher-order thinking skills.

  • The Get Stuck In Activity Bank features a range of short 10-minute healthy eating activities to use in the classroom, including quizzes, games and discussion tasks. The activities offer fun ways to enthuse pupils about healthy eating, exercise and other healthy habits, while developing higher-order thinking skills. Use the activities on a regular basis, completing 2–3 activities per week across a half term/term to build healthy habits.
  • The Get Stuck In Take-Home Activities Presentation supports the core activity bank with six take-home activities to help pupils look at healthy eating in more depth and together with their family. The presentation contains details of each of the activities, with accompanying Get Stuck In Take-Home Activity Sheets for pupils provided where needed.
  • Reward pupils healthy behaviours with the Get Stuck In Certificate, signed by our amazing Team GB ambassadors. 
  • All the Get Stuck In resources are also provided in Welsh.
