DESIGN A BAG COMPETITION

Design a reusable bag that will inspire people to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. 

Aldi and Team GB are challenging young people aged 5–14 in England, Wales and Scotland to get creative and design a Bag for Life that will inspire others to 'eat fresh'. The winning entries will see their bag on sale in Aldi stores! What's more, there is a further chance to win in our weekly prize draws – with exclusive prizes to be won every week until the competition closes. Entries must be received by Friday 4 May

Win great prizes

There are loads of great prizes on offer that will celebrate great design and encourage young people to cook and eat healthy, fresh food.

  • Winning bag designs in Aldi stores nationwide  The winning designs will be in stores from Autumn 2018, inspiring Aldi customers to eat fresh.
  • Special visit from a Team GB athlete  Winners will have a meet and greet with a Team GB athlete, who will also make a special visit to their schools.
  • Vouchers for fresh produce and kitchen equipment – Winners will receive £50 of Aldi vouchers, and £200 of vouchers for their school.
  • Weekly prize draw – A chance to win £50 of Aldi vouchers for your school every week. Winners will be selected at random from entries received that week. 

Entering the competition

The competition is open to all students aged 5–14 resident in England, Wales or Scotland and in Years 1–9 (England and Wales) or P1–S2 (Scotland). 

  • Students must complete an Entry Template (download below) with their design and details, which will be used to process their entry. The template uses the correct ratios for the bag, so entries not submitted using the Entry Template will not be accepted.
  • Entries must be submitted together with a Cover Sheet for Entries. The Cover Sheet for Entries can be completed by a teacher, parent or carer. To ensure your entry is eligible please complete all the details on the Cover Sheet.  
  • Entries (together with a Cover Sheet) can be sent via post or email and must be received by Friday 4 May 2018.
