EAT WELL WITH TEAM GB

This free resource for students aged 7-14 puts a Team GB spin on the eatwell plate.

Carbohydrates and proteins both play a role in keeping Team GB athletes at the top of their game. Eat Well with Team GB activities encourage students to examine the different food groups athletes consume by creating an eatwell plate and writing nutritional advice for a Team GB hero, and to compare the nutritional needs of athletes and young people.

Key question

  • How can athletes eat well for sport?

Key learnings

  • Listing the components of a healthy diet using a version of the eatwell plate.
  • Learning and applying the food groups and nutrients needed for different Olympic athletes.
