Summer is full of opportunities to get outside and to take part in all sorts of outings, such as school trips, family picnics, sports days and visits with friends. Ask the children to talk about their outings or use this as an opportunity to plan the food for a family or school trip. Help the children to explore how to plan food and drinks for their trip so that it is fresh, balanced and safe.
